Medicare Benefit Help from an Expert

While Medicare is an excellent program and offers comprehensive health benefits it has many gaps in coverage that could result in significant out of pocket costs for hospitalizations, surgery, and expensive outpatient services such as radiation, chemotherapy, and advanced imaging.  That's why most people decide to add supplemental benefits to eliminate or control these potential costs.

Making the right choice about these supplemental benefits, though, can be very confusing because there is so much information available-the two guides linked to the left, published by CMS (Center for Medicare Services), which cover Medicare in great detail, have almost 200 pages of information and it's a full time job for anyone to become an expert on their own.

Fortunately there are licensed, certified professionals like myself who have many years of training and experience that are able to not only explain how these important benefits work but also help Medicare Beneficiaries make the right choices for their supplemental benefits.

As an independent broker I represent virtually all of the major insurance companies offering Medicare plans (the major exception, in California, is Kaiser Permanente, who has chosen not to allow agents to offer their products) and go through rigorous annual training and certification before being able to offer these plans.

The problem for most Medicare recipients is that finding out the cost for each plan is not easy without the help of an independent broker (like me) who has access to all of the rates.  My services are always FREE, all rates are filed with the state Department of Insurance annually, there are no special deals or discounts that apply if you purchase direct or through another agent.

So why are prices different?  It's up to the individual insurance company to price their plans in a local area.  Rates can be significantly different for the same plan within the same local area;  it is not unusual for me to find a rate for a Medigap Plan G, from an A rated company, that is $1,000 per year less than the rate being paid by someone we reached.

I offer a FREE, No Obligation review of your Medicare benefits by phone or teleconferencing, that takes about 20 minutes and, in many cases, ends with my client either significantly lowering the cost of the same plan or changing plans to reach the same goal.  To find out more, please fill out the contact form or call me directly at (800) 516-4731
